星河从上帝眼中滚落

The Galaxy Rolls Down From God’s Eyes is a Chinese-English bilingual poetry collection by the eminent Chinese poet and writer Xie Chang’an, published by Dixie W Publishing Corporation and includes 115 short poems by the poet. Experts and scholars worldwide have given high praise to this collection of poems.

Mr. Ann Ning, a famous Israeli sinologist and translator, believes that “as a history guide, Chang’an introduces the background and framework of Chinese poetry. He employs particularly elegant, plentiful while restrained styles and images, dressing Chinese in a new garment. His works have become an outstanding museum of civilization, well worth visiting.”

Mr. Sun Minle, a renowned Chinese scholar and literary critic, said, “Xie Chang’an’s poetry relies on a wide and diverse range of knowledge and ideological resources. The symbols and elements of great compassion, the practice of Daoyin therapy, creationism, astrology, flowers, grass, insects, and fish coming from fields such as religious theology, natural history, and natural theology are incorporated into some of his poems, making them resemble ancient inscriptions or enigmatic patterns. This kind of magnificent and peculiar beauty undoubtedly challenges modern mentality.”

Ms. Jana S. Rošker, the first Slovenian sinologist and head of the Department of Asian Studies at the University of Ljubljana, commented: “The poems in this book do more than just share ideas; they create new universes, make the imaginary real, and shape previously formless entities in a subtle, yet powerful way. As you flip through the pages, each poem begins to speak in its own way — a whisper from the past or a cry from somewhere — all coming together in a melody that speaks of what it means to be human.”

The Galaxy Rolls Down from God’s Eyes was translated into English jointly by Mr. Xi Feng, a physicist at NASA Ames Research Center, and Ms. Ma Yuxuan, who holds a Master of Arts in Experimental Humanities and Social Engagement from New York University. The collection is printed in full color, with a novel design and fashionable binding. The collection also includes 50 exquisite photographs by Xie Chang’an.
